Bees from the hive in my garden. The song I recorded in the mid 1980’s I played a 5th chord on my vintage 1970’s mandolin, sampled that into a cheap Casio SK-1 sampling keyboard, and played that through a 1960’s Gibson Falcon amp with reverb and tremolo, and miked the amp. the song was improvised in one take. The bees really seemed to dig it though, note them shaking their abdomens in time to the groove.

spent all day in the studio with Dana Colley and co, he’s working on a new disc of music with the Ever expanding elastic waste band, some other projects are in the works as well which I’m helping with. In a strange way, I feel safer now, than before the bombing. not because the authorities are perhaps going to be even more vigilant, or use more high technology to try to prevent crimes, but this city came together like a big family, defending each other unanimously, from the first moment of the first blast, when people ran towards it to help those who were already hurt, (which if I had been there I would have done as well without hesitation), the 4,000+ people who offered shelter to those strangers who were in need, huge spontaneous acts of charitability, the 1 fund, because they were the right thing to do, even career criminals were united with the law abiding citizenry I feel sure. No one messes with us, not on that scale. Most people did not feel like we were suddenly living in a police state, we’ve been asked to stay off the roads before, always for massive amounts of snow, but we collectively agreed to clear the streets to make it harder for the suspects to hide, and easier for the police to search, it was a show of massive strength and cooperation, not weakness and fear. If some foreign terrorist is now thinking how easy it is to inconvenience a large US city they’ve missed the point. I’m less scared now to walk the streets of this city than I was before Monday, not more scared. Even if I’m statistically no safer. People may have gone back to driving like Massholes, but they’re our Massholes. I feel a solidarity with everyone else here that I haven’t really felt before. I’m sure I’m not the only one, I hope we can hang onto this.

Hi Sebastian has this phobia i guess you would call it of eating alone, he won’t eat unless someone is in the same room eating as him, i dont know why and we’ve taken him to the vet to see if it’s a stomach problem on why he wasn’t eating until we started to notice a pattern, only when you’re in the room eating will he start to chow down on his food. So we put his bowl on his side of the table and he eats Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with us. He’ll wait till you’re seated and eating to start on his meal, it’s really sweet, though we still have no idea why he does it.

Photo taken at the RKO Players’ Alice in Wonderland themed Rocky Horror Picture Show, 2-26-10, the actress is the very dynamic and talented Molly O’Brien. At Rocky Horror, actors basically act out the movie in front of the screen, and in the audience, making it the ultimate 3-D movie experience effectively. sometimes they get creative and change things up a bit, especially when you’ve been at it for 10 years, or 30. this night, each actor dressed as an Alice In Wonderland character to play their RHPS character, and some improv was done to mash them together more, it was wildly successful. their best and best attended show I am told.

I’ve been associated with a cast (teseracte sic) for about 10 years, and the head light tech for probably half of that. I love doing lighting, but I miss photography, so this was a great night, I took hundreds of pics. this was the best though.

This bill affects everyone — not just U.S. citizens. Anyone with a Facebook account could now have their data shipped directly to the U.S. government. That’s why Internet users overwhelmingly oppose this bill. Over 1.5 million people signed petitions against it. But Congress didn’t listen.

Does this remind you of something? Yep, this is the exact position we were in with SOPA last year. Then the Internet rose up and we made history with the SOPA strike.

This spring, we’re going to organize the largest online privacy protest in history to make sure that CISPA goes the same route as SOPA and doesn’t become the law that breaks the 4th Amendment. Are you in?

CISPA threatens our most basic rights. Privacy is important not just for our security but for our rights to freedom of expression. The giant tech companies that stood with Internet users against SOPA are not going to help us this time (but some of the large sites like Mozilla, Imgur, and Reddit are all against CISPA and we love them).

some of my friends post gory things here, mostly hollywood stuff, sometimes real, I really don’t like that, but I don’t tell other people what to post or not to post, (if I see hateful things, I report them, but I never see that from anyone I follow). pardon me if after what happened in my city, ten minutes from my home, on Monday, I really could use a break from any kind of gore. :/ guess I’ll scroll faster.

just a note to let my followers know I’m ok. I do reside in Boston. the marathon kept my in my workshop today, was going to go out when it was over to work somewhere, but then all hell broke loose, and staying home was advised. a friend was right in the heart of it, but unharmed. positive energy to those who are suffering from today’s tragedy. I will never understand human behaviour.
